Indivisibles --

We know abortion rights are on the ballot this year -- and we know that a
nationwide abortion ban is a hallmark of the MAGA agenda (and just the
beginning of their assault on birth control, IVF, and more).

Yet you wouldn’t know it from the coverage of Trump’s policy statement on
abortion this week. Nearly every major outlet reported that he said we
"should leave it to the states" -- a much more moderate interpretation
than what he actually said, that it "will be left to the states" (AKA the
current law). In reality, his statement didn’t say much at all about where
he stands.

Why does this matter? It is, of course, utter bullshit coming from the man
who bragged about ending Roe -- but it also shows how the media is willing
to leave his intentionally vague statements unchallenged and unquestioned.

After all, Trump’s statement was an explicit endorsement of the most
draconian abortion bans that have been passed at the state level. An
endorsement of Florida’s six-week ban. An endorsement of the 1864 TOTAL
ban that the Arizona Supreme Court reinstated yesterday. The public
deserves to know that Trump is responsible for all this, bragged about it,
and plans to erode our rights further if he wins a second term.

These moments prove how urgent it is that voters hear from trusted
messengers about where the candidates really stand on the issues, from
abortion rights to the fight for our democracy, from health care to the
protection of Social Security.

And as we previewed last week, we’ve developed what we believe to be the
easiest and most effective direct voter contact tactic in existence:
Neighbor2Neighbor. It’s a simple tool that allows volunteers to have
powerful conversations with their neighbors about the stakes of the
election -- and we believe it has the potential to shift outcomes up and
down the ballot this November.

Today we’re starting Neighbor2Neighbor pre-registration for activists in
swing states and target districts:

We’ve spent a lot of time hyping up Neighbor2Neighbor because it is a
highly effective program that’s simple for volunteers, but it’s highly
effective because it is targeted and specific. We purposefully narrow down
the focus areas to ensure the best experience for our volunteers and the
biggest return on investment for democracy.

That means some areas are not right for this specific tactic -- and trust
us, we spent hours upon hours digging into the best targets. It looks like
you aren’t in one of our eligible areas ([ [link removed] ]full list here).* But you
still have loads of options to get involved and fight back against Donald
Trump and his MAGA cronies.

We wouldn’t be Indivisible if we were leaving people behind. The fight for
2024 is a fight for the whole country, not just a few target districts,
and we’re going to need everyone to get to work. Here’s how you can get
involved, too:

leaked Supreme Court draft of the Dobbs decision to overturn Roe than by

This is the most important election in our lifetimes. We cannot allow
Donald Trump to complete the MAGA takeover of our government. Reproductive
freedom is on the line. Ending gun violence is on the line. The safety of
LGBTQ+ Americans is on the line. Democracy is on the line.
