Reuters: Trump says abortion laws should be decided by US states

This has been the Republican line for decades. It seems banal, benign even. But here's what it looks like when the states control abortion access:

New York Times: Arizona Upholds 160-Year-Old Abortion Ban

This is not theoretical any more, states are running wild with abortion bans. It is terrible and unconscionable. Reproductive rights are just that, rights. But they are under attack by extremists in the Republican Party.

Letting states decide abortion laws is bad enough, but Donald Trump orchestrated the end of Roe v. Wade and he flirts with a national ban when he thinks it helps him in the polls. Trump will say anything to try and win this election, but that doesn't change the fact that he will ban abortion in a second term.

We all suffer from the loss of reproductive rights, but rural communities face an acute threat. Doctors are fleeing states with bans, women are not able to find OB-GYNs for pre- and post-natal care, and people are dying because they can't access routine medical care.

We need to end this chaos. One Country Project is fighting for reproductive rights, but we need your help to win in states like Arizona, Georgia, and Montana. Can we count on you to chip in $3 today and help us fight for abortion rights across the United States?

Join the fight today,
