** Meet our Panelists:
------------------------------------------------------------

Rev. Stephanie Kaper-Dale has been Senior Co-Pastor of the Reformed Church of Highland Park since 2001.
Rev. Jeff Knol has been Pastor of the Blawenburg Reformed Church since August 2016.

** Affirmed + Celebrated: A Reformed Theology of Inclusion ([link removed]) is a report of the Ad Hoc Theology Committee of the Classis of New Brunswick in the Reformed Church in America, published in 2019. This resource serves as a comprehensive and rigorous academic report supporting LGBTQIA+ affirmation from a Reformed theological perspective.
------------------------------------------------------------

In this first discussion, we'll take a closer look at and answer questions about Sections 2 & 3 of the report, a Reformed Interpretation of Scripture and Morality. Rev. Kaper-Dale and Rev. Knol will be our first author/speakers from the Committee.

Affirmed + Celebrated was written in order to:
● Provide theological and scriptural reasoning for the Classis position;
● Define sin and grace as they pertain to human sexuality;
● Contextualize the decades-long history of this issue within Classis and the RCA;
● Critique the majority RCA position;
● Provide pastoral direction and practical guidance for churches and congregants;
● Discuss the ways in which the unity of churches may be affected,
for the benefit of the wider church and world.

Registration is required ([link removed]) to attend the live panel discussion, which will be recorded and made available on our website in the near future. We look forward to seeing you there!
Our next RfA Clergy Meetup is on Thursday, April 18th at 4:30 PM EST! This time is dedicated to strengthening our connections with rostered clergy and clergy seeking to grow in their welcome of LGBTQIA+ people throughout the RCA.
Registration is required at the link below.
