This is critical -- Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders each embody a different wing of the Democratic party, but just this week, Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight gave Joe Biden a 99% chance of winning a majority of delegates, and an ABC News/Washington Post national poll showed Biden ahead of Sanders by 16 points among registered voters.
If Sanders were to drop out now, it would allow Democrats to focus solely on getting Trump out of office and bringing the party together ahead of November. The Sanders campaign said that "If there is a debate in April, [Bernie] plans to be there." Biden's response? "I think we've had enough debates. I think we should get on with this."
