Introducing John’s first Impact Report of the year!  

1. We held 315 lobby meetings, hosted 235 events and sent 30,000 messages telling lawmakers to have a heart for kids.
2. 741 changemakers joined us at state advocacy days – and it paid off.  
3. Together, we scored funding for child care workers and early learners in New Mexico.
4. In Washington, we made mental health support, free school meals and early childhood education more accessible!
5. We saw nationwide funding increases, too: $1 billion for child care, $700 million for WIC nutrition support and nearly $1.9 billion for humanitarian assistance. 
6. Last but never least, meet the students behind SCAN’s first National Youth Champions Program!

Clearly, you’ve been busy changing lives – but there’s more to come. Right now, we’re wrapping up legislative sessions in seven states, expecting big child care investments in some and organizing forums with candidates for governor in New Hampshire. 

To top it off, SCAN is continuing to celebrate our 10th anniversary. More on that in May!
