U.S. Capital Expenditures in Robotic Equipment Totaled $12,960 Million in 2022
U.S. capital expenditures for robotic equipment totaled $12,960 million (not statistically different than 2021 spending) and accounted for 1.1% of total equipment expenditures in 2022, according to new?Annual Capital Expenditures Survey?(ACES) estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau today.
ACES estimates by business type add details to national-level estimates of investment in machinery and equipment. The estimates reflect data defined by the 2017 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).
Other highlights:
- In 2022, Manufacturing (NAICS 31-33), Retail Trade (NAICS 44-45) and Construction (NAICS 23) accounted for 88.3% of total robotic equipment expenditures.
