Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas proudly announces a historic achievement in monthly cash rewards. In February, a remarkable 17 rewards were approved, totaling an impressive $10,150. As of March 20, 2024, an additional 21 rewards will be presented to the board of directors, requesting $8,000.
Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas, originally Beaumont Crime Stoppers established in November 1981, has evolved to encompass Jefferson, Hardin, Orange counties, and, as of June 2023, Jasper County. At the core of the program is the commitment to maintaining the anonymity of the individuals providing tips. These tips cover a wide range of activities, including reporting criminal acts, identifying wanted fugitives, highlighting school policy violations, and more. In 2022, the program received 1,663 tips, and in 2023, that number increased to a total of 2,094.

Governor Greg Abbott released his 2024 Report to the People, summarizing accomplishments in 2023 and outlining his vision for the future. This marks the Governor?s fifth Report to the People since taking office in 2015, released in interim years without a formal State of the State address. The report covers economic achievements, legislative accomplishments, and initiatives for a safer and more prosperous Texas. Highlights include the largest property tax cut in Texas history and measures to secure the border. Governor Abbott emphasizes a commitment to turning bold ideas into reality and building a better Texas for future generations.

The Texas Crime Stoppers Ambassador Program is a student-based leadership program for youth involved in their local Crime Stoppers community.
Each ambassador is assigned a month to submit an article in the Texas Crime Stoppers newsletter. The topics may include, campus program success stories, an interview with their Student Resource Officer or a board member, community engagement, editorials on leadership, mentoring, or student motivation.

The Texas Crime Stoppers Team is looking for local programs to host a conference. Programs are expected to host a multi-day training in order to be considered as a host site. Grant funding is available to offset costs related to Crime Stoppers training events.
