TODAY IS NATIONAL SIBLING DAY!

Siblings play a major role in the Special Olympics movement, and there’s no better example than our founder, Eunice Kennedy Shriver. She and her sister, Rosemary, grew up playing sports together. The sisters swam, they sailed, they skied, and they even played football together. Eunice’s sister Rosemary was instrumental in influencing her vision of Special Olympics and the inspiration of an inclusive world.

National Siblings Day is a global celebration of the unique bond between siblings. Today, we're spotlighting siblings who champion inclusion in everything they do.

ASHLEY & ALEX

From the football field to the pool, the Singleton siblings have been supporting one another for their whole lives. Ashley, an avid Special Olympics swimmer, and Alex, a NFL linebacker, have formed an unbreakable bond rooted in mutual encouragement and unwavering support.

They’re teammates, they’re best friends, but most importantly, they’re sisters! Meet the unstoppable Feigh sisters, Amber and Tasha, both dedicated Special Olympics athletes, who have been lighting up the scene in Minnesota for over two decades! From cheering each other on in their favorite sports to conquering challenges and making memories, these dynamic siblings are a true inspiration.
