Yesterday, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that the state’s 1864 near-total criminal abortion ban is enforceable.

This law predates women’s suffrage, the Voting Rights Act, and even Arizona statehood - and it will have devastating consequences.

It follows similar news out of Florida last week, where the state Supreme Court upheld a six week ban in a state surrounded by GOP abortion ban states.

Both laws threaten doctors with criminal punishment, and both will put abortion out of reach for millions of people.

We must not go back to era of illegal back-alley abortions - we must fight back to protect abortion in all 50 states.

Here are two crucial actions you can take today:

1. Help collect petitions for the Arizona Abortion Access Act so Arizonans can vote to legalize abortion in November.

Every judge, prosecutor, and district attorney impacts whether an abortion provider or patient may be investigated—and every election is an opportunity to elect a pro-choice champion who will fight to protect our rights, our families, and our futures.
