Max didn't have an umbrella and she typically walks to school. Walking in the rain was an added deterrent. Can you blame her?

On the 10th each month, Love146 supporters pitch $10 towards ending child trafficking. Would you be part of that today? Give $10 each month ([link removed]) or make a one-time donation of $10 ([link removed]) .

This spring, one youth in our US Survivor Care Program (we’ll call her Max) made a goal for herself around consistent school attendance. This is often a big struggle for kids who are trying to reintegrate into life while recovering from exploitation.

Max typically walks to school, but she didn't have an umbrella. Walking in the rain was an added deterrent. Can you blame her? Spending a day in wet socks is the worsstt! Some of the folks we’re working with simply don’t have the means for purchases like this.

Because of your donations, she and I were able to pick out an umbrella and floral rain boots that reminded her of an anime character she likes. She still doesn’t love rainy walks… or going to school for that matter (we’re working on it!).

“...but I do love when I get to wear my new gear!” she told me with a “Thanks, Miss.”

It’s so fulfilling John.

Together, you and I get to remove barriers that hinder survivors from experiencing all the good things the world has to offer them. Instead of exploitation, Max is getting education. And a $10 umbrella, funded by supporters like you, is something small that makes a big difference.

P.S. When we send emails like this that have tangible costs, we often get feedback from somebody that we should’ve found a cheaper one for the kid, or some other complaint about the item. We assume that the majority of people don’t feel that way, but if you want to show your support with a donation or a reply of encouragement to this email for our team, you are always welcome to do so… Let love be louder! We appreciate you.
