Hi John,

We're getting warmed up for our Paddle Out Protest on the 18th May. Not all the details are ready yet. But we'll be sharing more on all the locations soon so keep your eyes peeled. 👀

Next week we've been offered an incredible opportunity to double donations when we launch our week-long fundraising appeal. We'll be messaging about it a lot, so if it's not your thing, please just give it a miss and we'll catch up after.

We're on a panel at the UK River Summit and Festival [[link removed]] on on the 21st May 2024. If you're joining, see you there!

Here are a few updates...

The calls are clearly set out in the End Sewage Pollution Manifesto – a 5 point plan produced alongside water-users and water-lovers from across the UK, outlining what the future government will need to do to end sewage pollution for good. More from our Policy team 👇

Imogen Grant - Olympic rower and activist

Imogen Grant, British Olympic rower, is an advocate for clean waters, and uses her platform and voice to campaign for our waterways. We were lucky enough to chat with her about her work:

"I’ve done a lot of rowing on The Tideway on the Thames in London, that’s just a really sad story of a really dirty river, to be honest. I think rowing is quite an interesting sport, because it’s on the water a lot of the time, but we don’t spend a lot of time in the water. But when you look at the rivers that rowers row on, so many of them aren’t safe for people to swim in. And we’re just inches away from that same water."
