We want to thank everyone who took part in Thursday's Twitter Q&A with Gov. Kay Ivey. We were pleased to see so many people urge Gov. Ivey to expand Medicaid. Your comments show the governor just how important expanded health coverage is to families and communities across Alabama.

Unfortunately, Ivey's answer about Medicaid was noncommittal, saying only that "all options remain on the table." That's why it's important to keep letting the governor know how much the people of Alabama want and need Medicaid expansion.

The COVID-19 pandemic is set to strain Alabama's entire health care system in unprecedented ways. As this dangerous virus spreads across our state, we must ensure that no one goes without life-saving medical care because they can't afford it. Medicaid expansion would save lives and bring peace of mind to families across Alabama.
