This is Ruben Gallego. Moments ago, the Arizona Supreme Court decided to enforce a near total abortion ban from long before any of us were born, before even our grandparents were born.

They are enforcing a law that was originally passed before Arizona was even a state, in 1864, during the Civil War.

No exceptions for rape. No exceptions for incest.

This is only possible because of the Supreme Court that Donald Trump built, and because the Senate failed to act to protect abortion rights when they had the chance. Kari Lake, my opponent, called this a 'great law.'

As a father, I am fearful for my daughter. As an Arizonan, I am fearful for the people of my state. And as an American, I am absolutely furious that this has come to pass.
