Friend –

Yesterday, Donald Trump released a video proudly taking credit for being the one to overturn Roe v. Wade.

This is yet another sobering reminder of what is at stake in this election: our fundamental human rights.

Will you take a moment to sign this petition urging Congress to pass a national abortion law? [link removed]

We want to be clear with you: Donald Trump is right about this. He is responsible for the downfall of Roe, one of the biggest rollbacks of women’s rights in our nation’s history.

During his presidency, Trump installed three justices to the Supreme Court who all voted to overturn Roe v. Wade: Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. Trump’s election led to a conservative shift on the Supreme Court that could last for decades.

And if Trump gets four more years as president, he won’t stop at the overturning of Roe v. Wade; he’ll happily sign MAGA Republican legislation to outlaw abortion in our country completely. (We’re already seeing this in states like Florida, which just banned all abortions after 6 weeks – before many women even know they’re pregnant.)

President Biden and Vice President Harris have urged Congress to pass a law that reinstates abortion as the law of the land. Please add your name to this petition to show your support: [link removed]

We also can’t forget the real people affected by horrific laws that ban access to reproductive health care. We all know and love someone who has had an abortion. These are our friends, our sisters, our colleagues, our mothers.

That’s what the stakes of this election are.

Thank you for taking action.
