Will your kid ask you or the internet?

Hi John,

Could more screen time mean more porn? Does indoor boredom lead to playing doctor? Did a fun dress up game end with your kid asking if some boys want to be girls? Did you know the answer? Or perhaps more importantly, did your kid feel comfortable even asking you?

We’ve heard from parents that as you’re adjusting to more time at home, a range of awkward (but oh so critical!) sex education topics are bubbling up. Make sure you’ve got all the knowledge you need by signing up to be an askable parent here. (Not a parent? Forward this to parents of kids ages 4-18 who could use some free resources!)

Here’s how it works:

  1. First, take the pledge to become an #AskableParent here.
  2. You’ll receive a daily email for 6 days with videos, activities, and other materials designed to gently guide you on how to have positive, productive, and powerful conversations with your family.
  3. If you want, you can also join special programming like a Facebook Q&A about porn with Melissa Pintor Carnagey of Sex Positive Families, and a Parent Whinedown hosted by sexuality expert Logan Levkoff where you can ask all of your questions

During the COVID-19 pandemic, AMAZE.org is committed to helping parents navigate their kids' questions about their bodies, sexuality, feelings, and the world as they adjust to more time at home and social distancing. Because parents should be the go-to resource for all of their kids’ questions — not older siblings, porn, or misinformation online.

Become an #AskableParent today.
