Dear Supporter,

The annual celebration of Earth Month is a special time to reflect on our relationship with the natural world and planet. For more than 130 years, we've brought our grassroots environmental movement together to explore, enjoy, and protect the places we all love and live in. We hope this Insider issue continues to inspire and show how we are powerful champions for the Earth, with timely reminders on ways to take action and get involved in our campaigns and events. We hope to see you out (or online) with us soon!

Take Action

The Fossil Fuel Industry is Trying to Undo New Protections Against Pollution

Congress is about to vote on a series of resolutions that could roll back some of our most important victories for clean air and water – including recent protections to reduce deadly soot pollution and cut emissions from gas-powered vehicles nationwide. We need to rally a massive grassroots response NOW to ensure these critical protections aren't blocked by the fossil fuel industry’s allies in Congress.

Tell your senator today: Vote NO on any resolution that will weaken protections for clean air and water.

Demand a Permanent Ban on LNG Gas Exports
[link removed]

After hearing from more than 400,000 people – including tens of thousands of Sierra Club supporters – the Biden administration temporarily paused new export approvals of liquefied methane gas (LNG) facilities. But while the action is a crucial step forward, it falls short of the total ban we need on these dangerous, dirty gas exports – and we have a critical window open right now to make our voices heard.

Our leaders are listening: Tell them we must permanently stop all LNG exports before they do even more damage to our climate and health.
