John,
I know the political insiders will never understand this, but I don’t have a burning desire to be a senator.
I’m not in this race for a title, I’m in this race for YOU.
I’m not in this race to be just another part of politics-as-usual. I’m in this race to change politics-as-usual.
We’re half-way through the 10-day Back to Work Bus Tour across Maryland and it has become abundantly clear: Marylanders are fed up with politics-as-usual in our nation’s capital.
I’m fed up too. That’s why I joined the U.S. Senate race.
We CAN get back to the business of governing. We CAN fix our border, crack down on violent crime and back the blue, AND make life more affordable for Marylanders. It won’t be easy, but I know that we can cross the finish line if we stand together.

We’re up against a lot, though, and we need all the support we can get. This will be the most expensive campaign I’ve ever run. My opponents are spending TENS OF MILLIONS all while partisans in Washington target me for daring to challenge the status quo.
I know I’m the underdog in this race. I’ve been an underdog before and beaten the odds, and with your help, I’ll do it again.
I’ll continue to make bus stops all around Maryland over the coming days and months, meeting with voters to truly understand the issues that matter most in our communities.
But it’s no secret that running a campaign is expensive. We need grassroots support to keep the momentum going.

Will you chip in $25, $50, $100 or more to help keep my campaign running strong?
John, your support is critical. Together, we can show my opponents AND partisan career politicians just how fed up we are. Let’s get back to the business of governing and stop the division.
Thank you so much for your support. I hope to see you in person out on the campaign trail!
