Yesterday, Donald Trump took to Truth Social to brag about overturning Roe v. Wade. Here's what he said:

"I proudly took responsibility for ending something that all legal scholars, from both sides, wanted—and indeed demanded—be ended, Roe v. Wade." - Donald Trump, Truth Social, 4/9/24

Trump is right about one thing: he is entirely responsible. 

He's responsible for appointing the far-right Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade. He's responsible for the women denied emergency room care, for those forced to travel hundreds of miles for basic healthcare, and for draconian laws like the one recently upheld by the Florida Supreme Court, which bans abortion after six weeks—often before women realize they're pregnant.

The reversal of Roe v. Wade removed a fundamental freedom American women have depended on for 50 years. 

Regardless of who you were or where you were born, you had rights and freedoms safeguarded. Now, we have fewer rights than our grandmothers. Moreover, if Donald Trump is re-elected, he will eagerly sign a MAGA Republican abortion ban into law if it passes in Congress.

If the stakes weren't clear, Trump's recent remarks highlight the urgency of defeating him and his MAGA allies this November. By doing so, we secure a monumental victory for women and reproductive freedom.
