John, today, a Republican-appointed majority on the Arizona Supreme Court issued a decision to uphold their 1864 total abortion ban, a law written by men and passed 1️⃣ before Arizona became a state and 2️⃣ before women had the right to vote.
This comes just days after Florida's Supreme Court issued a last-minute decision to implement a severe 6-week abortion ban, which takes away reproductive freedom before many women even confirm they are pregnant.
This is why we need to codify Roe v. Wade nationwide. In my decades serving the people of South Florida and championing reproductive rights, I can tell you in this moment that federal action is the only way we can put a stop to these continuous, drastic attacks on our fundamental rights.
