Missouri's confirmed cases of COVID-19 is over 1,800 and climbing daily. That's the number without widely available testing. COVID-19 is in counties throughout our state.
Our Governor has refused to issue a stay-at-home order to fight the COVID-19 outbreak, despite the request of medical professionals across the country and all over Missouri.
He has refused to declare grocery clerks and pharmacists to be emergency personnel, which would grant them access to child care and protective equipment.
He has not issued a plan for Missouri's unhoused residents.
He has not instituted any protections for families who are now unable to pay their mortgage or rent.
He has not ensured that folks applying for unemployment can get financial support quickly.
He has not protected our right to vote.
He has not supported our hospitals, especially our rural ones, that were already in bad financial shape because Missouri has not accepted federal funding and expanded Medicaid, leaving more than 200,000 Missourians without access to affordable health care.
We need leadership in Missouri.
