At the five-year anniversary of the Green New Deal resolution, Senator Ed
Markey said this:

“This is the Green New Deal revolution, and it's only getting started.”

As a prominent advocate for a Green New Deal in Congress and the driving
force behind the reintroduction of the Green New Deal resolution in 2023,
it is crucial we support and elect more climate champions who, like
Senator Markey, will commit to the fight for a Green New Deal.

In the five years since its initial introduction, our movement has secured
historical wins. However, these wins are not to the scale needed yet, and
the climate crisis continues to worsen — making the need for bold climate
justice painfully apparent. Just like Senator Markey says, our fight for a
Green New Deal is only getting started, and we’re committed to building on
our momentum.

Green New Deal Network is demanding unprecedented investments in climate
solutions and intervention at every level of government. We’re ready to
fight for the climate in 2024.
