Harry Dunn for Congress

Hey folks, do you have any tattoos?

I ask because I have this one that was inspired by one of my heroes, the late Congressman John Lewis.

Before I show you, I want to make a promise – when I'm elected to serve Maryland's 3rd district, I will support the John Lewis Voting Rights Act from Day 1.

Part of protecting our democracy means strengthening our voting rights laws so more people around the country are participating in elections. Will you chip in a donation so I can support voting rights as a Congressman?

So, back to my tattoo. 😂

Harry's tattoo

The Black heart, that represents the struggle of Black people. It's a struggle every Black American faces throughout their life. And being a Black man, running for Congress, that's the ultimate sign I've persevered through the struggles.

The blood tears are for all the bloodshed Black Americans cast, especially from historic events like Bloody Sunday. Hundreds of Black heroes, like John Lewis, took beatings that day – and some even laid down their lives so that people like me could have a voice in our democracy.

And the red lightning symbolizes the chaos that ensues when you get into good trouble. Because like John Lewis said, "get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America."

It's because of my heroes that I have the opportunity to run for Congress and be one of the loudest voices fighting for our democracy. I'm following down the path they carved for Black Americans.

Will you rush $10 to my campaign? I'm up against super PACs that are spending millions on boosting one of my opponents. I intend to win my primary so I can support the JLVRAA from Congress, and I'll need your support >>
