Today kicks off another week of Congress, our first days in Washington this month.
And though it can be tough to get work done when the Speaker is targeting my seat and promising to funnel hundreds of thousands of dollars into beating me, I refuse to stop working. In fact, like with yesterday’s eclipse, I enter work every day like things are looking up:
While my name may be on the door in the Halls of Congress, this office belongs to the people I serve, and I will always treat it that way.
While House Republicans grip onto their slim majority as captives of the far-right fringe, I will lead the fight against the extremism of their agenda. And do everything I can to actually deliver positive results for each of us.
That’s why I'm asking you to hold me accountable and keep pushing me and my colleagues to do more, because we are here to serve you, and your input is critical to our work.
