John, I have repeatedly been amazed by the generosity of Team Graham. Even though we're facing difficult and uncertain times, numerous supporters have stepped up in ways that I didn't expect. John, I'm incredibly grateful that you're part of Team Graham! During the first three months of this year, we accomplished a lot together. From showing up in force at President Trump's rally in North Charleston to standing with me when I filed the paperwork to appear on the ballot for U.S. Senate, Team Graham was by my side. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic changed things for our campaign just like it has for you, your family, and millions of businesses and non-profit organizations around the country. Our campaign made tremendous fundraising progress in January and February, but we didn't reach our goal in March because we canceled numerous in-person fundraising events and paused all fundraising emails and letters for multiple weeks. Here's why: it simply wasn't the appropriate time to ask for money for our campaign. Unfortunately, our Democrat opponent didn't follow our lead, and liberal money from across the country poured into his coffers. While it hurt us financially, I stand by our decision not to ask for money because it was the right thing to do.
