Big Ag is intensifying attacks on EWG’s work.
This year Big Ag and the Alliance for Food and Farming tried to discredit our work and shut down the Dirty Dozen™ list days before its release. The AFF has called our pesticide work "fake news" and “anti-fruits and veggies.” Monsanto has called our work "propaganda"!
Absurd! EWG gives consumers the FACTS to help you reduce your pesticide exposure.
Big Ag just wants to protect their bottom line.
EWG’s top priority is protecting YOUR health, and we won’t be cowed into silence. But we can’t continue our work without your support.
We know there is a lot to worry about these days, but our commitment to you is to help you make healthier choices for your family.
That’s why we need your help: We'll continue to tell you the truth about toxic pesticides, but we're falling short of our fundraising goals. We need your help to fight back against Monsanto and Big Ag.
We set a goal to raise $100K by April 10 for our Stop Pesticide Pollution Campaign to fight these attacks and continue our work.
Our 2020 Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides in Produce reports that conventional raisin samples tested positive for an average of 13 pesticide residues! These toxic pesticides include bee-killing neonicotinoids and brain-damaging chlorpyrifos.
The pesticide companies have the inside track with the EPA, trying to keep toxic pesticides on our food. In 2017, Dow Chemical used its influence to halt the ban of the neurotoxic pesticide chlorpyrifos. Last year, we learned the EPA used research provided by Monsanto to validate the safety of glyphosate, the key ingredient in Monsanto's Roundup.
That's what makes EWG's work so important: Our goal is to tell consumers the truth about the pesticide industry. Just look at what we're working on now:
