John, the future of access to abortion in Arizona will be decided today.
The Arizona Supreme Court will issue a ruling on a Civil War-era law that would force a near-total ban on abortion statewide.
It should never have come this far. But thanks to people like Kari Lake, this is where we are. She called this Civil War-era abortion ban a “great law” and has called abortion “the ultimate sin.”
While we wait for this decision in Arizona, we know that the future of access to abortion in America will be decided at the ballot box this November.
No matter what they say in public, we know that the MAGA-right and Republican politicians nationwide are hellbent on a national abortion ban.
The only way that we can prevent that ban is to hold the Senate, take back the House, and defeat Donald Trump.
That’s the only way that we’ll have a chance at passing legislation that protects the right to an abortion for anyone who needs it, too.
And the only way we’ll do any of that is if Ruben Gallego wins his campaign for U.S. Senate in Arizona. This race will determine who holds power in 2025, and we have to win. Too much is at stake.
