John,
I was recently interviewed by hostile, pro-abortion journalist Stephen Sackur on the BBC’s HARDtalk. HARDtalk is broadcast multiple times around the world on BBC News television channel and BBC World Service radio, reaching a unique audience of more than 80 million people.
From the very beginning, it was clear that this journalist had one clear motive: to be the voice of the abortion industry.
His questions were astounding to me because they were rife with inaccuracies. You can see the exchange here:
John, so much of our work in the pro-life movement is simply to set the record straight. To confront the lies with truth.
Steven twisted the facts in his questions to me. He framed post-Roe v. Wade America as being mostly pro-abortion. He misrepresented the IVF case in Alabama. He used made-up details about a story of a woman who was denied abortion in the state of Texas.
The abortion industry frames abortion as something good and avoids all negative (truthful) verbiage. They would never say, “Women should have the right to kill their children” – but that’s what they mean, whether they realize it or not.
The right to life is not up for a democratic vote. No one has the right to decide if an innocent human person should be killed.
John, I’m sure you run into conversations where people ask you difficult questions about abortion, and bring up fear-mongering stories spread by the abortion industry.
I encourage you to be brave in correcting the record, calling out misunderstandings and misinformation, and advocating for the littlest among us who cannot speak for themselves.
We must point out the lies of the abortion industry. We must break through the fear-mongering so people can see past the euphemisms and discover the incredible facts that can save lives.
