Florida will soon have one of the nation’s strictest abortion bans – a six-week ban that will go into effect in less than 30 days – and more Republican-backed states are likely to follow suit.

MAGA Republicans are attacking reproductive rights nationwide. Twenty-five states – all controlled by Republican legislatures – have enacted laws to ban or restrict abortion earlier than the standard previously protected by Roe.

And now, Trump’s saying abortion rights should be “up to the states” – paving the way for his far-right state allies to push their anti-abortion agenda.

That’s why it’s more important than ever to build Democratic power in statehouses nationwide. If we don’t, the GOP will continue to run rampant, attacking reproductive freedoms, and millions of lives will be affected.
