I almost can't believe the NCAA women's basketball conference is over. 

Sports pundits are already calling this past weekend "the greatest weekend in the history of women’s college basketball at the end of the best women’s college basketball season ever."

We’ve all been here, witnessing the incredible feats and victories on the women's sports stage. 

Because it's not just Caitlin Clark.

It's not even just basketball. 

Across the board this year, women have shattered record after record after record—both on and off the court. And the antiquated expectations and narratives that had been once been used to hold women back just don't hold up anymore. 

After a record-breaking year across the board, the numbers speak volumes. Women have already changed the game this year. And we're not stopping. 

We will be the ones who shape the future. 

Because we also know what's still at stake... That's why Mothers for Democracy is actively mobilizing parents all across the country — our voices must are heard at the polls this year. But, we cannot defeat Trump, and his far-right cronies, without the support of folks like you.

This year, Mothers for Democracy is nominating PTA National Advocacy Award winner and public education advocate, Daphne Hoffacker, as Austin's Best Political Activist, and we're asking all our supporters to do the same. 

Daphne Hoffacker, has been leading the Austin Council of PTAs Advocacy group since 2020, fighting for school funding and sane school policies.

In her role, she's educated large groups of parents on the issues, brought folks down to testify during hearings, and hosted education leaders, parents, and representatives in discussions on topics from funding to accountability. 

She's definitely got our vote!
