TEACHERS UNIFY TO END GUN VIOLENCE LOGO
John, it’s Teachers Unify to End Gun Violence. We’re going to take a few minutes to explain to you why and how we’re empowering educators across the country to make our schools and communities safer – and why we’ve set a goal of raising $5,500 in the next 24 hours.

We know this email is long, but this is important, John. If you’re already with us and ready to make a difference, please chip in $25 now >>

John, Teachers Unify is the only educator-led, educator-driven non-profit actively working to help end gun violence through organizing and advocacy.

Too many lives have been taken and altered by gun violence in neighborhoods and schools across the country. There is not one teacher in America who doesn’t fear for their students, families, and themselves – making us start to wonder if “willingness to be a human shield” should be part of teacher training.

As educators, we had no choice but to take action. Now, the movement we’re building to fight for safer schools and communities – organizing thousands of educators, school staff, librarians, counselors, paraeducators, administrators, and more – is growing in power and numbers every day.

In just a few years, we’ve gained support from thousands of educators and school staff who are standing up to join in our mission – because enough is enough.

We’re engaging in conversations coast-to-coast, providing resources to educators on addressing the threat of gun violence in the classroom, and leading panels to empower educators to be advocates for gun safety legislation.

Our work has given thousands of educators the tools they need to address this public health crisis while advocating to end it, John. We’ve made real progress, but our work is just getting started.

We’re going to reach educators in every corner of the country and we will help end gun violence in our schools and communities, but there is still one major threat to our agenda – the billion dollar gun lobby.

The gun lobby and special interests are already pouring millions into trying to stop our movement, but we have thousands of dedicated teachers on our side. We know we can win, but one critical part of the solution is missing - YOU.

John, we’re teachers, not fundraisers. We’re not relying on access to mega-wealthy networks of donors or massive lobbies. We rely on everyday folks like you, giving a few dollars at a time. And right now, we’re still $5,500 short of what we need to raise in the next 24 hours. So we have to ask:

Will you join our team of over 11,000 grassroots donors by donating $25 right now to amplify educators’ voices and help end gun violence? >>
