Did you know that I’m the only Democrat representing Kansas at the federal level?

That’s one of the reasons the Kansas GOP is working so hard to defeat me — because I’m standing in the way of their extremist agenda. Seriously, take a look at the platform they put forward earlier this year, and you’ll see that it calls for banning same-sex marriage, taking away abortion rights, and blocking Medicaid expansion.

That agenda is as extreme as it gets, and if we lose this race, the fact is that I will be replaced in Congress by someone who champions it — by someone who wants to restrict abortion even further, by someone who won’t stand up to attacks on our democracy, and by someone who believes it’s OK to attack LGBTQ+ kids just to score political points.
