** Reminder: 2024 CBTU Conference

CBTU's 2024 conference, Training a Safe, Skilled Workforce, is approaching fast! We've got an exciting lineup of speakers and events for conference delegates, and registration is still open for the conference. If you haven't had a chance to register, click on the button below. Please note that Early Bird pricing has now ended.

The conference will take place at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, QC, April 28-30. Rooms at the Hilton Lac-Leamy are now waitlisted, but rooms are still available at the Holiday Inn across the street.

** Day of Mourning
------------------------------------------------------------
CBTU will host a National Day of Mourning ceremony on Sunday, April 28th at 11am EST to remember those who have suffered illness, injury, or death while on the job. The ceremony will take place at Major's Hill Park in Ottawa and is open to all who wish to attend.

We're excited to hear from our keynote speaker, Clara Hughes, Canadian Olympian and champion of mental health awareness.

We will also welcome notable political speakers including Minister of Labour Seamus O'Regan, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development, and Official Languages Randy Boissonnault, Leader of the Opposition Pierre Poilievre, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, and more.

And we'll hear from industry leaders like Sean McGarvey, President of North America's Building Trades Unions (NABTU) and more.

** Jour de deuil

Le SMCC organisera une cérémonie du Jour de deuil national le dimanche 28 avril à 11 h (HNE) pour se souvenir des personnes qui ont été malades, blessées ou qui sont décédées au travail. La cérémonie aura lieu au parc Major's Hill à Ottawa et est ouverte à tous ceux qui souhaitent y assister.

Nous sommes ravis d'entendre notre oratrice principale, Clara Hughes, athlète olympique canadienne et championne de la sensibilisation à la santé mentale.
