First of all, I want to make sure you know just how much
I appreciate you.

Your energy, your passion, your devotion -- you poured
it all into this election, and it showed. Tuesday night
may not have gone the way we wanted it to, but I can
promise you the results were ultimately closer because
you did your part, talked to your friends and neighbors,
and cast your ballot.

The road ahead of us now is going to be a difficult one.
That's just a fact. But I want to make one thing perfectly
clear, Samuel -- to you, to the other side, and to the whole world:

We aren't backing down. We aren't going to quit. We're
Democrats, Samuel, and we're going to keep fighting for what we
believe in harder now than ever before.

And we're going to come out of this experience stronger. I
really believe that, Samuel.
