Dear John,
Speaker Johnson has indicated that the House of Representatives will hold a vote on foreign aid for Ukraine in the coming weeks.
In the wake of Russia’s unjust aggression, western-aligned nations froze $300 billion of its assets to choke the nation’s financial strength. One strategy, under consideration, is to pass the REPO Act, which would enable the United States to use a share of these assets to fund Ukraine’s defense. So far, roughly 90% of our military assistance to Ukraine is staying in America.
I want to hear your thoughts. Do you support the REPO Act as a means to fund the war in Ukraine?
Let me know here.
