We're less than 24 hours away from the start of the 2020 YDG Virtual Convention. We've got a lot of different moving parts in play to make this weekend EPIC.

I remember running last year and the nerves were crazy. My heart goes out to each of you running for a seat in this totally unprecedented time. I know it feels like you're totally in the dark. Hopefully this next little bit will shed some light.

YDG Board of Directors Candidates
Debates will be held via live video conference during one of the Saturday General Sessions. Candidates will have a few minutes for opening and closing remarks. They will have the opportunity to ask questions of each other and answer questions from attendees. There will be a chance for rebuttal after each question should it be desired. Elections will occur at the Sunday afternoon General Session.

College and High School Candidates
Debates for the college and high school caucus will occur simultaneously midday Saturday. For each, candidates will be given a few minutes for opening and closing remarks. They will answer prepared questions and have the chance to give rebuttals if desired. No questions will be asked live from the floor. Elections will take place in the same virtual conference rooms before the Sunday afternoon General Session.

Registration is still just $20 for the full weekend. Click the button above to register. Don't miss out. If you've already registered but you haven't received your welcome link yet, please respond to this email so we can make sure you can participate in this weekend.
Looking for the Schedule?
This will continue to grow and evolve as we approach the event.
All attendees who are registered members of a chartered chapter and all at-large members will be given one unweighted vote in all elections they may participate in. Attendees who are not members of the Young Democrats of Georgia may not vote in any elections.

Only High Schoolers may vote in the High School caucus election. Only College students may vote in the College caucus elections. All other caucuses will follow their own bylaws if present. If there are no approved bylaws for a caucus, they will use the YDG bylaws to the best of their ability to conduct elections. All rules for in person requirements were suspended at the previous YDG executive committee meeting for this convention.
