Friend --
All the people watching the total solar eclipse on April 8th, from
all over New York State, the US and parts of the world, are being
instructed by the same universe. In this we are united -- each
sovereign country and all cultures -- in science and exploration of
the universe.
Let people know about the webcast Diane Sare and her campaign's
astronomer and Kepler expert, Roger Ham, will hold at 6 pm after the
eclipse! Please see the leaflet attached. Print copies to distribute
to fellow observers of the eclipse!
If you would like to attend the post-eclipse get-together in the
Rochester/Fairport area in person, please RSVP below. We will be
meeting at 5:30 pm
So many questions have been raised by eclipses past and present,
and so much knowledge has been gained about the universe from our
investigations of not only what is seen, but in particular, what is
not seen, that we look forward to being inspired on April 8th, once
again. We must end the wars and pursue science. Remember what
Johannes Kepler (1571-1630) said as he uncovered the
laws of planetary motion, and investigated the harmony of the
spheres:
“The diversity of the
phenomena of nature is so great, and the treasures hidden in the
heavens so rich, precisely in order that the human mind shall never be
lacking in fresh nourishment.”
