Time to Vote!

Participatory Budgeting (PB) vote week is here! We kicked off with a PB expo at Powerhouse Arts, bringing neighbors together to learn about this year’s projects in art gallery format. Thank you to our PB volunteers for creating fun and inspired posters that masterfully highlight each project for this exhibit. We are grateful to have partnered with NOCD-NY at the Old Stone House to encourage art as part of community building and local democracy.

Vote today ([link removed]) on how to spend $1.5 million on local projects that impact our local community. The projects on both ballots have been submitted and developed by neighbors living or working in the 39th District. PB is accessible. Everyone, ages 11 and over, regardless of citizenship status, living in and with connection to District 39 can vote! PB is a unique opportunity to get involved locally and engage in community decision-making. This is local democracy in action. My team and I will be all around the district, we look forward to seeing you vote.

* Forth on Fourth Avenue (FOFA), the local community group that has been advocating for a safer, cleaner, greener, and more vibrant 4th Ave, wants to know what you think of Fourth Avenue – survey here ([link removed]) .
* Do you love biking and want to start a bike club? Ride Leader Academy applications ([link removed]) are now open through 4/7 and will provide you with the training and skills to become a local ride leader in your community. Learn safety protocols, how to pick routes, how to manage a group of cyclists, and more.
