john,
Today is World Health Day — a day dedicated every year to bringing awareness to health topics of concern for people across the world. This year’s theme is “my health, my right,” a message Kim couldn't agree with more.
john – every person deserves access to high quality, affordable healthcare. As a doctor, Kim has seen firsthand just how many Americans are putting off going to the doctor due to cost or lack of access. For so many, skipping essential medical care can be dire – illnesses go undiagnosed, preventive care is missed, and treatment could come at too late a stage. This should never happen – that’s why Kim has and will always fight tirelessly to ensure every person has access to the care they need.
Kim has made strides in Congress—from fighting to introduce the Capping Costs for Consumers Act to cap the cost of insulin at $35 per month to helping give Medicare better access to negotiate lower drug prices and more—but there’s still so much we can do to make affordable healthcare a reality. This World Health Day is not just a day to acknowledge our work but to take action to do more.
If you agree healthcare is a right, then chip in $5 or whatever you can afford and elect pro-healthcare candidate Dr. Kim Schrier. Together, we can ensure the leaders who are pushing for a brighter future have the resources they need to keep fighting for us.
