Florida's abortion fight is headed to voters after court allows for a 6-week ban

“The Biden campaign said abortion could turn Florida into a "battleground state.”]

HELP TURN FLORIDA BLUE ([link removed])

Have you seen this news John? The Florida Supreme Court triggered a six-week abortion ban, which will go into effect in May. This ban threatens the health and lives of countless women in Florida and in the South.

But there is hope — Florida’s high court also approved a proposed ballot measure which would give voters in November the choice of protecting abortion access in the state constitution.

This ballot initiative is not only a turning point for Floridian and Southern Latinas, who are already disproportionately impacted by abortion bans, but could be a major win for the nationwide reproductive movement if it passes.

We have an opportunity to register a significant amount of new Latino voters, make our voices heard, and turn Florida blue. That's because more than 75% of young Latinos support national legislation to protect reproductive rights. Abortion is an issue that is incredibly important to young members of our community.

Voto Latino has a proven track record of engaging and mobilizing young Latinos in battleground states. In 2020, the number of voters we registered in Georgia and Arizona exceeded Biden’s margin of victory. With your help, we can do the same in Florida in 2024.
