John, the time to
invest in our climate resilience efforts is not tomorrow, not next year —
it’s right now.
We must prepare our climate infrastructure to withstand the damages
wrought by the climate crisis. That starts with creating millions of green
jobs to invest in workforce development programs and climate resilience
action plans.
Pramila has been hard at work in Congress fighting for climate action at
every level — starting with the support of the Climate Resistance
Workforce Act to invest in and prepare our workforce to take on the
climate crisis. And she knows that in order to save lives and save our
communities, swift action must be taken now — not in the aftermath.
Climate change is here — NOW, John,
and if we do not start preparing now, we’re
sure to see devastation and destruction in the future. We can’t wait until
after the next climate disaster.
