The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to grow more complex and challenging by the day.

- More than 33,000 people have been reported killed and more than 80,000 injured in Israel and Gaza. About two-thirds of the fatalities in Gaza are women and children.
- The health care system in Gaza is collapsing due to shortages of electricity, medicine, equipment and specialized personnel. Only 10 hospitals are partially functioning for a population of over 2 million people.
- There are nearly 1 million reported cases of infectious diseases, including acute respiratory infections, diarrhea and meningitis, according to the World Health Organization.
- An estimated 50,000 pregnant women are at risk of going without treatment.
- An estimated 1.7 million people are displaced in Gaza – about 75 percent of the population. Shelters are facing extreme overcrowding, increasing concerns about the spread of communicable diseases.

From the start of this crisis, Americares has prioritized the most urgent medical needs of civilians caught in the crossfire. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve been able to:
- Deliver six tons of essential medicine and medical supplies. With another shipment that recently arrived in Gaza, we have mobilized enough medicine to fill more than 200,000 prescriptions.
- Support mobile medical teams providing care in shelters in southern Gaza.
- Provide emergency funding for medicines, trauma kits, defibrillators and other medical equipment.
- Support local partners distributing hygiene kits, clothing and other essential items to displaced families.
- Fund mental health support for frontline aid workers coping with the stress and trauma they have experienced.
