“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” - Colossians 3: 1-4
Friend,
After reflecting and celebrating Holy Week and Resurrection Sunday, it can be easy for us to fall back into our routines and gloss over the severity of what Jesus did for us. But it is not something meant to be celebrated for just one week of the year. Jesus sacrificed himself to pay the price for our sins and give us eternal life, defeating death once and for all. What we can do with that, not just on Easter Sunday, but today and everyday, is set our minds and our hearts on things above. Shift our focus from worldly things and turn our eyes to our wonderful Savior. Live each day in the hope that the lamb has conquered death.
We don’t know what tomorrow brings, but we can live our lives with eyes on Jesus, in hopeful anticipation for His return.
