Fox's bad news is America's good news: Biden's economy continue to surge far better than expected. Bummer.
Who put up Trump's $175 million bond? A subprime car loan billionaire who has run afoul of regulators
Don Hankey made a fortune building a subprime auto loan empire. Along the way, his companies racked up consumer complaints, regulatory fines and were sued by the DOJ. Among the many Justice department accusations against him are that Hankey illegally repossessed at least 70 vehicles owned by military service members protected under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and that he failed to provide service members with interest rate benefits they were owed under the law. Yes, that's right, Donald Trump's sugar Daddy made his fortune, at least in part, by illegally screwing over US military service members. Sounds like a perfect match.

The terrifying global reach of the American anti-abortion movement
"For half a century, the United States has used the power of the purse to force poorer nations to abide by the anti-abortion values of American conservatives or forgo aid for family planning and, more recently, other health care," writes the New Republic's Jodi Enda. "Of the several policies adopted over the years, two have been particularly onerous, according to several studies and more than 20 interviews with researchers and reproductive rights advocates in the United States and abroad. Touted to reduce abortions, the policies actually have driven up their numbers sharply and led to tens of thousands of unnecessary maternal deaths. 'Anything that happens in the U.S. has a huge impact on the rest of the world,' said Giselle Carino, director of Fòs Feminista, an international alliance that promotes sexual and reproductive health and justice. When Washington places restrictions on abortion, 'we have a lot of evidence how it hurts, particularly the women who need the most care and services.'”
Melania comes out of hiding for 2nd time this cycle as Trump holds record fundraiser
Despite a record single night haul, the Biden campaign has far outraised Trump's, making the night far less notable for what happened than who attended. Melania Trump, former first lady — as well as the world's foremost anti-bullying advocate and bullying enabler — made just her second public appearance of the 2024 cycle. Don't they look happy to be together? Speculation on her elusiveness has run rampant, ranging from she can no longer stand the sight of him to she hates him to he's a terrible person. Just one thing is certain: I really don't care. Do you?
