Earth Month always sparks a bit of reflection for me. It’s a time when I look back on the past year and think about all of the progress we’ve made together — and the work we still have cut out for us ahead.

If you’re anything like me, you know that our fight for a livable future can’t be won in a single day or a single month. That’s why, to me, Earth Month is about more than just 30 days on the calendar. It’s a time to celebrate the unsung heroes of our collective fight: the grassroots activists, protesters, and frontline community leaders fighting tooth and nail to protect all of our communities. It’s also a time for each of us to take stock of the opportunities we have to make a difference and renew our commitment to nurturing, protecting, and advocating for our precious planet. And that's why I'm reaching out to you.

This Earth Month, I'm eager to know: What is your 2024 Earth Month Story? What are you most excited about in the fight against the climate crisis this year?

Your story could be as simple as your plans to start a garden, opting to bike more instead of driving, attending a protest or march to advocate for policies that protect our environment, or contributing your time or money to elect climate champions who will take on the fossil fuel industry. Whatever your story is, I would be honored to hear it.
