Friend,

Many Americans have forgotten our surviving World War II heroes
... but not people like you, Friend.

This year, to honor the 80th anniversary of D-Day and more, the
American Veterans Center has launched our Heroes of 1944
initiative to jumpstart a nationwide movement to honor and thank
our World War II heroes.

Can I count on your generous gift of $44 or more today to help
honor America's remaining World War II heroes this year? As my
thanks for your support, I'll send you a keepsake vial of sand
from Normandy Beach -- where these heroes landed on D-Day in
1944. ( [link removed] )

America's surviving World War II heroes are now in their 90s and
100s -- and I want to make sure they know they are still
remembered and thanked for their service.

Your generous gift of $44 or more today will help the American

* Bring 44 World War II veterans at this year's National Memorial
Day Parade in Washington, D.C. ... at no cost to these veterans,

* Film 25 documentary interviews with WWII heroes, as we preserve
the stories of the Greatest Generation before they are lost
forever, and

* Connect the Greatest Generation and the latest generation at
AVC's Annual Veterans Conference -- bringing together students,
military cadets, and the heroes who served our country and saved
our freedom 80 years ago, and

* Fight to protect our WWII heroes from ignorance, historical
revisionists, or historic wrongs, as recently happened when a
bureaucrat in the Department of Veterans Affairs tried to ban an
iconic World War II photo from VA facilities!

Friend, no other organization is as focused on honoring the
Heroes of 1944 this year as the American Veterans Center -- and
that's why I hope you will stand with us in this special mission.

Please make your most generous gift of $44 or more today to help
honor America's World War II heroes -- and I'll send you a
keepsake vial of sand from Normandy Beach, where D-Day changed
the course of world history. ( [link removed] )

Thank you for taking part in this special nationwide effort to
honor the heroes of 1944 and the legacy of the Greatest
Generation.

It's only through the generous support of patriotic Americans
like you that we're able to undertake this special -- and
important -- mission in this 80th anniversary year.
