People have been wanting to get to know more about Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as he runs for president on the No-Labels ticket. They should know how Robert F. Kennedy, Jr ( [link removed] ) exploits dead children.

Wait, why would he do that?

How Robert F. Kennedy, Jr Exploits Dead Children

These types of vaccine injury stories ( [link removed] ) are commonly used to scare parents ( [link removed] ) away from vaccinating and protecting their kids.

And judging from the number of comments on the article, it's probably a good way to generate clicks too ( [link removed] ) !

After all, why wouldn't you want to read a story and be scared ( [link removed] ) if you had heard of a "healthy" toddler dying two days after getting her vaccines?

Especially if you hadn't read the followup story ( [link removed] ) ...

[link removed] How can we raise awareness for things like Kawasaki disease when anti-vaccine folks are blaming anything and everything on vaccines?

So no, the toddler didn't die because she had just been vaccinated.

She died from the complications of Kawasaki disease and she had the flu.

> "Clinical signs include fever, rash, swelling of the hands and feet, irritation and redness of the whites of the eyes, swollen lymph glands in the neck, and irritation and inflammation of the mouth, lips, and throat."

> About Kawasaki Disease

When did she develop Kawasaki disease?

She had a rash and high fever when she was two months old (which are among the symptoms of Kawasaki disease ( [link removed] ) , but in a child rather young to have Kawasaki disease) and "got better after two weeks."

> "About 25 percent of children who are affected by the disease develop heart problems in the latter stages of the illness. Damage to large blood vessels which supply the heart muscle, as well as damage to the heart itself, can sometimes occur. A weakening of the large vessels in the heart (coronary arteries) can result in an enlargement or ballooning (aneurysm) of the blood vessel wall."

And while Kawasaki disease can get better on its own, that can leave you at risk for coronary artery damage.

To be fair, Kawasaki disease can be hard to diagnose, as the symptoms do mimic the symptoms of many viral diseases. But Kawasaki disease should usually considered when children under six months of age have a fever for 7 or more days or older kids have a fever for 3 or more days with classic symptoms.

And no, Kawasaki disease is not associated with vaccines ( [link removed] ) ...

> "The cause of Kawasaki disease is unknown. An infectious etiology is suggested for a number of reasons. First, Kawasaki disease is almost exclusively a pediatric illness; suggesting the development of passive immunity by adulthood. Geographic outbreaks occur, with an increase in the number of cases in the late winter and early spring . Lastly, children with acute Kawasaki disease have an appearance that is similar in some respects to those with other infectious diseases (i.e., scarlet fever, adenovirus)."

> Kawasaki Disease: A Climate Connection?

After all, if Kawasaki disease was caused by vaccines, why would it be so seasonal?

And our last question.

> "The Defender on occasion posts content related to Children’s Health Defense’s nonprofit mission that features Mr. Kennedy’s views on the issues CHD and The Defender regularly cover."
