John,
Did you miss this email from Governor Hogan? Over 1,000 of you have taken a stand against the proposed tax increases from the Maryland General Assembly.

There’s still time to add your name to the petition!
Because you made your voices heard the politicians in Annapolis reduced their proposed tax increases, but they still threaten to cost us jobs and burden hard-working families.
Governor Hogan is committed to turning feedback into ACTION. That’s why we have been pushing hard to call for a stop to these crushing tax hikes, and an end to the political games being played.
We’ve proved it doesn’t have to be this way, John. Let’s send Annapolis and Washington a clear message. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. LET’S GET BACK TO WORK.
Team Hogan

John,
A few weeks ago the Maryland General Assembly was poised to pass one of the largest tax increases in the state’s history. This $1.3 billion tax hike would surely have cost us jobs and hurt Maryland families who are already struggling with historic inflation and a cost of living crisis.
I called on Democratic leaders in the Senate to work with Republicans to stop this crushing tax hike and protect hard-working taxpayers. As of today, the proposed tax hikes have been reduced, but still amount to over $400 million! These new taxes fall on the backs of working families already struggling with historic inflation and a cost of living crisis, and we must continue to STAND AGAINST THESE TAX INCREASES.
Let’s reject these tax hikes and send a message that it’s time to end politics as usual! I’ve launched an online petition to

REJECT THE TAX HIKES: SIGN THE PETITION
The progress I made as Governor - cutting taxes for eight straight years by $4.7 billion and leaving Maryland with a record surplus - is slipping away before my eyes, and it breaks my heart to see it.
Typical partisan political games continue. The Maryland Senate President suggested the reason the Senate Democrats should push off these tax increases is because it will hurt my chances of being elected to the U.S. Senate.
This type of politics is EXACTLY what I am running for Senate to stop. We must work together and reach across the aisle to defeat the toxic partisanship at the state level AND the federal level that is hurting our families.
Marylanders know it doesn’t have to be this way. I hope you will continue to stand with me and send a message loud and clear to the politicians in Annapolis and Washington.
