Join the Fight Against the Fossil Fuel Industrial Complex

The era of “global boiling” is here(i). The escalating climate crisis is a red flag that can no longer be ignored. 2023’s relentless heat shattered records, signaling the dire need for action against the looming permanence of climate change. Its repercussions would be severe –leaving a legacy of discomfort, sickness, hunger, destruction, and death.

The Year of Disasters

Canada burned, spewing thick haze near and far. One Arizona county suffered 598 heat related deaths with more still under investigation(ii). Having endured everything from hurricanes to droughts, 75% of Americans experienced some kind of extreme weather in 2023 for more than $80 billion in damages combined(iii). It’s been nearly two years since our own home city of New York recorded even an inch of snow from a single storm, a record-setting streak its own right that no one would have ever imagined(iv).

In a world increasingly shaped by the climate crisis, every choice we make, especially with our own personal finances, echoes into the future. The need for change is clear, and it starts with a bold step: divesting from fossil fuels. By realigning your investments, you can help drive the global shift toward a sustainable and circular economy.

Big oil’s response to this crisis?

Despite the clear need for change, fossil fuel companies and their executives remain as influential as ever. Their significant presence at the COP28 summit led to a climate agreement riddled with loopholes favoring their self-interests. This included the promotion of "transitional fuels" like natural gas while leaving the status quo intact(v).
