John, I am so proud to work alongside folks like Lauren who know that this fight isn't easy, but it's important. Like so many of you, Lauren found the courage and passion, even in truly difficult circumstances, to keep going and fight for a better future.

If you find yourself ready for change and ready for something better like she did, chip in to support our work at Movement Labs. [[link removed]]

Onward to November,

Sarah

Over the last few weeks, I've been inspired by my colleague Sarah Long sharing her story, so I wanted to come on here and share a bit of mine as well.

My story starts in 2008 when I volunteered for Obama's campaign, and I was instantly hooked.

The buzz in the air and the possibility of change invigorated me, so I dropped out of a pre-med college program in 2009. After that, I took an unpaid internship with the Missouri Democratic Party, working as an amateur campaign manager for several state legislative races aiming to take back the Missouri House.

That turned into a full-time job in 2010, and then we had the worst election cycle for Democrats in half a century, but the losses solidified my passion to pursue a career working for the underdogs and fighting to build a more representative and equitable democracy.

Now, a decade plus later, this fight is far from over.

So, chip in $14 and help rural county Dems organize and run up the vote totals for Joe Biden in supposed red areas, and let's push him over the top in November! [[link removed]]

This fight hasn't been easy, and every year I see folks across the country lose hope.

But, my dad motivates me to keep going.

Since I was five years old, my dad's chronic health issues kept us in and out of the emergency room, and for as long as I can remember, he struggled to get access to healthcare. Until the Affordable Care Act (ACA) came along.

Now, I'll be the first to admit that the ACA isn't perfect, but it gave me ten more years with my dad. And, for that, I'll always be thankful.

Those extra ten years wouldn't have been possible without a bench of progressive leaders who fought to reform healthcare, so now, I need your help to keep the fight for a more representative, equitable democracy going.

So join me, John. We need you in this fight. Your contribution not only recruits local candidates and organizes rural and red state folks, but also it lays the foundation to send Joe Biden to a second term and win critical Congressional and Senate races across the country. [[link removed]]

More soon,

Lauren
