We’re close to the end of this holy month of Ramadan and are inching closer to the celebrations of Eid Al-Fitr. I hope that your Ramadan was a nourishing month with reflection, prayers, and spending time with those you hold dear. May your Eid be abundant in blessings, love, and joy.
I have fond memories of Eid celebrations with my family. As the years have gone by, I’ve been blessed to include my chosen family.
Muslims for Progressive Values is part of my chosen family. I was first drawn to this organization because of MPV’s 10 guiding principles including acceptance of anyone that identifies as Muslim as well as non-Muslims, equality, compassion, gender justice, and inclusion.
This Eid, I invite you to support MPV’s Muslim Musical Mosaic Project. This very special project draws from the incredible diversity of Muslim American stories and histories to present a picture of contemporary Muslim America through music, songs, spoken word, rap, jazz and dance.
